Working together with OOO “CITRUS”, BELTEL equipped the new checkpoint of Grozny airport with an advanced access control system that fully meats the existing international requirements. The checkpoint is used by personnel and vehicles entering and leaving the airport.
The objective of the project was fitting the new checkpoint with an efficient access control system (ACS). In order to strengthen the reliability of the system, its functionality was enhanced by adding photo identification. When the ID card data are scanned, a photo of the legitimate card holder is displayed on a monitor along with other personal data allowing the security officer to compare the photo to the person presenting the ID card. This procedure has made access control at the checkpoint even more reliable.
For vehicle access to the airport, two-factor authentication is used based on number-plate recognition and radio frequency identification.
The new system fully complies with the existing international security requirements for strategic projects.
“BELTEL engineers have demonstrated a well-coordinated and professional approach to solving our problem. All the project activities were completed on time and with high quality. I am certain that the new, advanced security system of Grozny Airport will contribute significantly to the development of our business and, more generally, to the development of our region’s infrastructure,” says A.M. Usmaev, head of ASS, VAINAKHAVIA.
